What this site is

Technical articles and courses about software. Everything here is written against named versions and re-run when those versions move, but it is information, not consulting, and not a substitute for the official documentation of the tools it describes.

Using the writing

The articles, courses, and images are ours. You may read them, link to them, and quote short passages with attribution and a link. You may not republish whole articles or lessons, translate and repost them, or use them to train a model without written permission.

Using the code

Code samples in articles and lessons are provided for you to use. Copy them into your own projects, commercially or otherwise, with no attribution required and no warranty of any kind.

Accuracy

Every guide names the versions it was verified against. Software changes; a guide that was correct when written can become wrong without notice. Check the version stated on the page against what you are running, and verify anything consequential against the upstream documentation before relying on it.

Course exercises are graded by exact comparison against a small set of accepted answers. A correct command may be marked wrong because it was phrased in a way the grader does not know about. That is a limitation of the grader, not a judgement about your answer.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. We make no guarantee that it will be available, accurate, or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for loss arising from following anything published here. Run destructive commands against something you can afford to break.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure, and do not scrape it at a rate that degrades it for other readers.

Changes

These terms may change as the site grows. The date at the top of this page records the last revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
